On a hill in Daratsos area of Chania, in an existing incomplete building in the masonry phase, we were called to intervene in order to modify the building according to the needs and aesthetics of the new owners. The design started from modifying the interior spaces with functionality in mind. Then, we redesigned the openings, enlarging them and creating views towards the view. The new openings created new paths that connected the interior of the building with the exterior spaces. The exterior spaces were again designed based on the needs of the owners.

On the ground floor level, inside the building we have the living areas with a large kitchen with a central island, the office-guesthouse with access to the more private northern garden, the storage room and a large bathroom. On the south side outside, there is covered parking for four cars.
At the floor level, access is by the stairs or by an elevator that also leads to the lower level. There is the master bedroom with its wardrobe-office and its bathroom to the north, oriented towards the view of the sea. Next is a second bedroom, the main bathroom and laundry room and to the south is another master bedroom with its own wc. Going up to the said floor, there is direct access to the large terrace. On the lower level outside, we can find to the north the covered barbecue area, to the south the swimming pool and on an elevated level is the outdoor living area – summer cinema. In the interior of this level one can find a two-bedroom guest house with a gym and other utility areas.
