On a plot within a settlement in the area of Halepa, Chania, we designed a residential complex consisting of two, three-level maisonettes on the first levels and an apartment on the last. The building consists of two volumes, one on top of the other and slightly displaced, with the result that the above volume is suspended, creating a covered entrance and a large terrace. In the center of the building there is a patio area that functions as a relaxation of the spaces around it, but also as a solar chimney "adding" in the center of the building natural light and helping it’s air conditioning.

The first and second levels are framed by a wooden folding surface and the fourth level is framed by a white folding surface. At the level between these two folds and outside the frame of the building, there is a continuous glass caption, filling the double height of the maisonettes with light and creating the feeling that one volume hovers over the other.
In the top apartment, which is the residence of the owners, south of the atrium we can find the bedrooms overlooking the white mountains and the plain of Chania to the west, while respectively to the north is the living room and dining room overlooking the Cretan Sea and the city to the west .The space located east of the atrium, in addition to the function of the corridor, also houses the kitchen area, where through the atrium, overlooks the city.
